7-12-24 Weather Update
Today’s weather is going to be more of a repeat of yesterday but with storms coming off the ocean and popping up literally on a moments notice. While Future radar is a 50/50 shot, we are relying on several weather models to make decisions about setting up as well as remembering these are human beings that have to come take umbrellas and chairs off the beach. Folks, we removed the equipment around 3 p.m. yesterday and i’m glad we did as had we waited until 5 p.m. then we would have been in the midst of a thunderstorm with lightening and you wouldn’t want your kids working in that and neither do we. Please understand, this is about liability which we cover clearly in our terms and conditions and many of you that ordered before 2 weeks ago received an email outlining just how much our insurance carrier really keeps our feet to the fire. While there may be sporadic moments of clear skies, it doesn’t mean it’s going to be clear 30 minutes from now. It’s going on 6 a.m. and we’re already having thunderstorms. We did notify you yesterday of the potential to not setup today and here we are. Sorry, but we are going to go by the weather forecasts as this morning is a roughly 60 percent chance of storms and that increases to 70 percent after noon time today along with higher winds. As we outline on our terms and conditions, safety comes first and we are not going to try and compete with mother nature.
