Policy regarding Setup and Take Down Umbrellas

YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO BEACH SAFETY AND EQUIPMENT SAFETY

For Daily Setup and Take-Down Customers:

Each day that you leave the beach, you are required to ‘drop the umbrella’.  You need to ‘remove the pin’ that holds the umbrella ( for 9 foot and 11 foot umbrellas) open and re-insert the pin into the hole and allow the umbrella to close.  For 7.5 foot umbrellas, just push onto the spring clip and let the umbrella come down.  DO NOT TAKE THE UMBRELLA OUT OF THE SAND, LEAVE IT CLOSED AND UPRIGHT. Way too many customers leave umbrellas open and think nothing of it.  If you leave the beach before we arrive in the afternoon to remove the umbrella or especially if you leave due to an approaching storm, then please follow the previous instructions.  You wouldn’t leave your car windows open on purpose during a storm, so don’t leave our umbrellas open.  They can not only fly down the beach and become damaged but can also fly into the ocean or worse yet, fly into a house. Bear in mind we don’t have an unlimited supply of umbrellas and if you don’t lower your umbrella and it’s damaged during a storm or other wind-related event, then chances are you won’t have your umbrella the following morning until it can be repaired or will be substituted with another smaller size, i.e. you rented an 11 foot, you will get a 9 ft, until we can get yours repaired.  Help us to help you have an enjoyable vacation and help us to maintain this equipment, thanks.
